Who would have known that a precocious little child who loved dancing around fancy restaurant tables using breadsticks as baton and had her ears glued to a small plastic tape recorder would one day sell over eight million music albums and thirty-five million singles across the globe.
Lady Gaga, otherwise known as Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta, nicked her name from Queen�s song �Radio Gaga� and grew up to be America�s favorite singer, fashion designer, pianist, songwriter and performance artist. Born on March 28, 1986, her love for music matured from an almost innate fascination for the songs of Michael Jackson and Cyndi Lauper. Later, she is said to have been inspired by glam rock musicians David Bowie and Freddie Mercury as well as the Pop Diva Madonna.
Her first performance was in the rock music scene of New York City's Lower East Side. �The Fame�, her debut album released in August, 2008 got Lady Gaga enough fame to become number one in 4 countries and top the Billboard Top Electronic Albums chart in the United States. The Fame also earned 6 Grammy Award nominations which includes Best Electronic/Dance Album as well as Album of the Year.
Lady Gaga designs all her stage outfits which are as theatrical and extravagant as her high-powered performance. Audiences would go gaga over her when she strips down to her hand crafted pants and her bikini top and strike a stunning pose that matches the orchestral music of A Clockwork Orange.
